   My Town Land
   I live in the townland of Parkeel in the Parish of Fairymount and the Barony of Frenchpark. Before this the parish was in the Loughglynn parish. When this change took place nobody knows exactly but it must be between the years 1865-1875.
   The proof we have of this change is the Parish Register. The old Register of Tilohine ends up in the year 1859. The mearing that separates the two parishes is below at Morans in Cloonfad and parish stretches all the way down to Breedogue and round about up to Morans again.
   The parish of Loughglynn stretched up to Fairymount and up to Lisnanny and round to Currintruipane and the priest always lived in Loughglynn. When the children were born during that time no one of them were Baptised until the priest came to the house and he might Baptise seven or eight on the same day and when he went home he entered them in the Parish Register.
   The boundries of this village are to the west Eden and Fairymount to the north and Cloonfinglass to the east and Coonard to the south. The land is of good quality but the farmers sow little tillage owing to the small holdings of land and therefore they sell nothing at the market.
   The land is very rich in limestone but (the) sand is very scarce and if a p person was building a house he would have to go up to Ballinlough and if you had not your own cart it would be very
