   Bread was of corn and wheat which was grown locally in nearly every house in my district. There was a quern in Knockagolis and all the people got their corn ground there long ago. The little stream by which it was driven is still to be seen but the handle of it was sold at the Auction last week.
   The people of this district still bake potato bread. They peel the potatoes and boil them. When they are boiled they bruise them fine. Afterwards they put flour on them and then they knead it and put it in the oven.
   Long ago my grandmother would make boxty bread. She would get potatoes, peel them and afterwards she would grate them. Then she would put them in a clean bag and take the moisture of of them. Then she would put ingredients in the bread dish and knead them
