- I heard the following from my father whose name is James Benson.
One field of my father's farm is known as Cross. On the top of this hill there was a cross erected in olden times. A little farther down there is a hill called Knocknecroy, (Cnoc-na-Croice) which means the hill of the gallows, some people maintain this the condemned people were allowed to pray at the cross on thier way to execution.
