    Weaving
    Patrick Connolly of Culfada and his brother used to weave yearn into linen which was used for making sheets and towles.
    There was another material- called drogget which he used weave into cloth for womens under-shirts
    Thatching
    There was a man named Patrick Conlon of Cumming near Lough na Sú He was famous for thatching. The people used come from a far off distance to employ him
    Rope Making
    Every body used make their own ropes out of rushes. They used tie them in bundles until they toughened. Then they would beat them with a beetle and plait them into ropes. These ropes were called Sgoidheach (skyeach)
