A girl named Mary Ann Kelly who lived in Greaghafarna, Dromohair, Co Leitrim and who is now in America dreamt three nights in succession that if she would go to her uncle's gate at midnight she would meet a headless black man who would give her a purse which could never be emptied. In order to get this purse she had to go alone. But she would not consent to go.
