    Garland Sunday is the last Sunday in the month of July and on that day people visit the Holy Well at Tobernault. Puss Sunday is the first Sunday in Lent. It got that name because girls who did not get married before Lent have a puss on them.
    It is not right to bathe on Whit Sunday because it is said that on a certain hour of the day the water changes into wine, and if anyone is near the water at that hour she may be drown.
    On Easter Sunday people made it a habit of eating eggs.
    People go to Dromard on the 29th June to a Holy Well.
    It is not right to eat meat on St. Stephen's day in order to keep away the diseases of the year.
    Mondays and Thursdays are said to be lucky for cures.
    On Wednesday it is lucky to get married
