    Streamstown
    Where I live formerly belonged to the Abby and monastery of Ballisodare . It is a small stretch of land bordering on the Atlantic Ocean , about a mile and a quarter in length and about half a mile in breadth. This townland Streamstown commences with a small lake named Dooney Neil at the foot of the hill where Carhounnagh church stands .It runs west to a narrow point at th stand named Rena Tholen . Now the most important object in the town land is the ruin of an old church named Kildalough which stands on a rising ground to the south side of the road . It was was supposed to be one of the first churches in Ireland prayed for in Rome . The well which belonged to the church is in a hollow about fifty
