    Local Cures
    Toothache was cured by rubbing a frog on the jaw outside.
    Cough The fat of a goose or gander was melted and rubbed on a person't chest if he had a cough or was tied on the chest. The fat was called Seam.
    Whooping Cough was cured by drinking the leavings of a ferret. Milk was given to the ferret to drink. The person who wished to be cured from the whooping cough rank the milk the ferret left over. It was supposed to prevent the child from kirking.
    A child who had the whooping cough was put three times under an asses foal that was never ridden. He was also made drink some of the asses milk.
    If a person meets a man riding on a white horse and asks them for a cure for the Whooping Cough whatever cure he recommends is
