    This is the day after Christmas day.
    In many parts of the country all the young boys go from house to house on that day.
    The song they sing is The wren. the wren the king of all the birds , St Stephen's day she was caught in the firs, Although she is small her family is great get up land ladies and give us your treat is of the best I hope in heaven your soul may rest and if your treat is of the small it wont agree with the boys atall so up with the kettle and down with the pan give us a penny to bury the wren.
    St Bridget's Day.
    The feast of St Bridget is held on the first of February.
