The cure for a sprain is to get a thread from a weavers son or daughter and to leave it tied on the sprain until it would fall off itself.
The cure for a stye on the eye is to pull ten gooseberry thorns and to first throw away one. The other nine are pointed to the stye on nine consecutive mornings so that only one is thrown away each morning.
