straw rope round the stump of the whin. He brought home the fairy and forgot to shut the door. He put the fairy under a pot, afraid that the gold would not be under the whin, and went out to get a spade and dig for the gold. The children got up when Larry went out and turned up the pot. The fairy jumped up and ran out of the door and that was the last time he was seen. When Larry got to the field, there was not a whin there but had a straw rope on it Larry went home and never bothered about the fairy anymore. Larry Mc Dermott died about fifteen years ago.
