  2. There was supposed to have been water horses in Mullinadara lake long ago. They were not seen frequently. They were seen chiefly by night.
    There were mermaids also seen at it. They put seal skins around them. They came out of the water and took off the seal skin and danced on the bank. Anyone who got the skin could catch the mermaid. It is told a man caught the mermaid and married her. He hid the seal skin under the floor. She could not go back without the skin. She searched for the skin but could
