- There lives two tailors in our district. They work at their homes and the people go to them. The tailor does not stock cloth. But he keeps patterns of cloth. Cloth is not spun locally neither is it woven locally. Tweed and serge is the common material for suit making.
He uses scissors and many other implements in his work. In some houses shirts are yet made. Flannette is used principally for shirtmaking.
Socks are still knitted in the homes by the women. The thread is not spun locally. There are no spinning wheels in use now in the district. Black clothes are always worn by relatives of a dead person.
