    The care of the feet I
    Long ago there were about six shoemakers in every district and they were getting great call but when foreign boots began to come into the country these died out. The home made shoes were called clogs and these were very heavy. The soles were made partly of iron with timber heels. The most of the women wore loapeens. These were old stockings without any vamp in them and these were worn when hey had not shoes.
