    The Jack-snipe is a fairly large bird of a brownish colour. It generally lives in a marshy place, but in very cold weather, it stays on dry land.
    The jack-snipe builds it's nest on a side of a river. It build it of dry sedge. The colour of it's eggs is brown. When the young snipe come out, they remain only two or three days in their nest. The mother bird feeds her young with seeds.
    The sparrow is a small brown bird like the lark. It is generally to be seen around old houses. It builds it's nest in a hedge or under the eaves of thatched houses. It makes it very far up in the thatch. It's nest consists of wool and feathers. It takes the sparrow two weeks to complete it's nest.
    The sparrow lays six white eggs dotted with brown. The young birds remain three weeks in their nest before they are able to fly. The mother bird feeds her young on grains of corn.
    Water-hens are not very common in this
