  1. There are numerous kinds of herbs such as the dandelion and the nettle which are very often used in this country for building up the body after any illness. They are used with boiled cabbage.
    The camomile is another useful herb. The little white flower should be dried and saved. When boiled in water it is very good for taking down a swelling. It is also a very good hair bleach and is used for many medical purposes.
    There are some other plants that do great harm to the land. They are the dock-leaf and the praísre and the chicken weed. The praísre destroys the wheat and beet. The chicken weed harms the potatoes. The butter-cup is a bad plant to grow in a field where milks-cows graze as it leaves a taste on the butter.
