  1. About a quarter of a mile from the main Derry Moville road, there is a field, rectangular in shape, and containing about three and a half acres, belonging to Samuel Harrigan, of Drung. Many other fields are included in this farm, but this particular one provides the most interest, for in it there is a cromlech or dolmen. Truly, it cannot be seen by the passer-by, as it has long since sunk down beneath the moss. This is the description of it which was given to me by the owner of the field.
A few years ago, they (the owners) decided to dig this particular field. In due time they came to a flat stone, about six feet in length and four feet in breadth. On digging around this surface, they found to their amazement three supporting stones, which convey the knowledge of a cromlech or dolmen being there at one time, but with the passing of generations has sunk down and crumbled beneath the moss.
