There were two dors on every house, one in the front an one on the back and a half-door also on the front. Clay floors were in most houses.Fir and rough heads, that it, turd sods were burned in the fire. The people used strips of fir, and home-made candles for light. They made the candles out of fat and cord. They melted the fat, staped it round and drew the cord up through it.
