    On a hill to the South of the village which was described in the paper last Saturday as the most beautiful village in Ireland stands the ruins of an old castle which like every other old castle has its story.

    from his castle. To day there is nothing to be seen of it but one wall. This old castle is on a large height a little further up than St Catherine's Well but in the same field. It is said that the bishop is related to the Conwell families of Killybegs. This is the story of the old castle that is situated a mile to the South of Killybegs.
