    were invented the people used to go round in coaches and these coaches used to stop up on the Leixlip road in front of the Ball Alley Lucan. It is said that Sarsfield came through Glen Wood and down Coldblow hill and up past the Ball Alley, the police were on guard and stopped Sarsfield and asked him for the password and he said Sarsfield is the password and Sarsfield is the man.
