Ar an leathanach seo
- When a person dies in modern times, some of the relatives and neighbours of the deceased person call to the house, say their prayers and wait for a time in the house of mourning. The corpse is then removed by means of hearse or car to the Church on the day following the death. Some of the neighbours and relatives accompany the remains to the Church. After Mass, on the second day after death, the remains are borne by hearse or motor-car to the graveyard where the burial takes place.
Up till about twenty five years ago the corpse was kept in the house till the second day, when the funeral would take place from there to the graveyard.
