    In this townland about eighty ago there lived a delicate wife and husband and ten children.

    In this townland, about eighty years ago there lived a delicate wife and husband and ten children. They were very poor and had no money to get food for their children. One day Tom, their father, went to raise money in the Bank to get food and clothes for them. On his way a magpie flew to his left hand side. Tom thought this a very bad omen. After he had gone about a mile farther a weasel crossed the road in front of him and he thought he might as well return home as this showed the very worst of luck. However instead of going home he followed the weasel to its hiding place and there he found a roll of notes and a heap of gold. He went home to his wife and told her what happened. His delicate wife
