In the village of Glenmore, about ninety years ago there lived a fairly old woman named Nora Smith.
Nora was middling holy and on the last Sunday of July she said she was making a pilgrimage to "The Reek" (Croagh Patrick). She set off early in the morning walked to Croagh Patrick, climbed the Reek, walked home again that evening, and arrived at five o' clock. She did the two journeys on foot.
