- There were many big buildings in the district in the olden times and there are only the old ruins to be seen now. There are the ruins of an old mill in Castlemore. There are a great many windows in it, but the glass is gone and there are only the holes to be seen. It is a very big building and there is a huge chimney in it. It is made of bricks.
There were a great many people working in it in the olden times. The people from the surrounding districts got corn ground in it. The land that is surrounding the miill is sold to a man in Castlemore and he has cattle grazing in it. There are a great many departments in the inside. It is to be seen from the main road that goes to Ballaghaderreen.
