  1. About thirty years ago there lived a boy named John only son of Peter Sheehan of Glasha, Newberry, Mallow aged about eighteen drowned n the river Blackwater at Longfields Bridge. This boy was washing sheep with some of his companions and his father. During the time all the men went away for more sheep, except one boy and John and his companion remained near the bridge waiting until they would return.
    While they were away the two boys went in swimming but they were not long inside
