  1. We had a thunderstorm about a week ago, and it did great harm, The thunder started at about three oclock in the evening and the thunder and lightning kept on till about twelve oclock that night. There were a number of cows horses and pigs killed by the lightning. There were three pigs killed in Ballymagooley.
