- (continued from previous page)fort to protect his castle. When it became disused and human people no longer lived in it. The "fairies" were supposed to have taken up their abode there. There is a funny story told in connection with this "fort" about a man who was coming home drunk at mid-night. The fairies it is said lured him into their company, and when he got into the fort he could not get out again. The story ends thus in the morning the owner of the place found the drunkard asleep near the fort and it is said that he never got drunk again. You are not to pass this fort at mid-night because it is supposed that the fairies at this hour can be heard(continues on next page)
