    There a very few holy wells, in this district, but there are a few well-known, such as St Leonard’s, St Brigid’s and also our Lady’s well.
    The well called St Leonard’s, is on the side of the road in Dunamaggin.
    It lies near the chapel and it is surrounded by bushes and trees.
    St Leonard himself prayed at the foot of a tree nearby.
