    Long ago when the English had a grip in Ireland they were very cruel and severe with the people. The hardest years on the people were 1798 and 1848. During those years the priests were compelled to say mass in woods and glens where the soldiers would not see them.
    About a quarter of a mile from Garnaman their is a well in a field belonging to Mr.
