    Once upon a time there lived in the parish of Dunnamaggan a family named Garb.

    Once upon a time there lived in the parish of Dunnamaggan a family named Garb.
    In this family there were only three, father, mother and one daughter, named Kathleen.
    This girl was a pet, because they had only herself.
    One day she asked something from her mother, but her mother refused her.
    The girl said nothing only walked down to a pit near the back of her house and drowned herself.
    There was a great uproar, and a search was made,
