    to vanish them. What ever house the rats were in, the poet went outside and sung this special kind of keening which rats like. After a while the tormenting rats gathered round him. The poet went to the next house with the rats following the keening after him. The poet inquired if they would like their intruding rats to be banished and if not the poet would leave the other rats at that house. In this way poets were able to banish rats.
