    In one of those fields there is a big hollow called the "The Bainncins".
    There is a big rock in a field belonging to Mr. Carroll at present and it is called Carroll's rock because he used to sit there in the Summer-time.
    There is a hollow in Tom Griffin's wood on the left side of the Callan road and it is called "Gleann na Síeóg" because the people long ago believed that there were fairies there.
    There is also a field belonging to Mr. Long on the Haggard road, called "Garradh Núa" it got its name
