    Folklore Famine.
    There was a great famine in Ireland about the year1847 and most of the people had nothing to eat. The people use to be stealing potatoes and wheat from those who had them.great numbers died by the raodside and often a good many bodies were buried together without any coffins in one grave and that is why the hillocks are in graveyards.
