    14 th December 1937
    Folklore
    there lived a woman in Killanena named Mrs Scully who kept a small shop .
    She sold tea, sugar, tobacco,and other things.
    The people of the district bought their goods from her and they gave butter ,eggs and fowl in payment.At the end of the week she used to walk to Limerick which was a distance of 20 miles to sell goods which she carried on her head and in her hands and brought home a supply of goods.
