The Weather
Coming of good and bad weather is made known to us in various ways. Swallows flying high denote good weather. Swallows flying low denote bad weather. Soot falling denotes bad weather. Stars shining brightly denote frost. A dog eating grass is a sign of rain. When smoke does not go up the chimney it is a sign of rain. The wind from the east is a sign of frost.
