  1. Forts are very plentiful in this country. They are more plentiful in Clare than in other counties. I often heard a story about forts. It seems not to be right to take anything out of a first or near it.
    There was once a man ploughing near a fort and he found a grand new pipe. He picked it up and filled it. He put it into his mouth. The next thing he found was his mouth was turned to one side. There was also another young boy who was crossing a fort. It was near dusk
