    following a cloudburst on Slievenamon. All the rivers overflowed their banks and carried away all they met - crops, houses, trees and walls. The people who were living on the side of the hill had to leave their houses and get shelter in farmer's houses because the flood was sweeping down the side of the hill. It carried huge rocks down the side of the hill to St. John's field in Killurney, these can still be seen.
