    In warm weather the water of this well is always very cold and people often came and carried water from it to use it when making butter. A neighbouring farmer called

    tried to drain the well into his own field which is not very far away. He made a drain from the well to his own land but it would not move an inch for him. The spot in which the well was at first is always very wet no matter how dry and warm the weather is. People say that cripples came long ago to this well and got cured at it.
