   After going to bed some people make the sign of the cross on their breasts, with their hands and say. "I must die, I know not when, nor how, nor where, but if I die in mortal sin, I'm lost for ever. My Jesus have mercy on me. Amen. If poor people get a drink of milk in a house they generally say:- "God bless the cows". When people give food or clothing to tramps they say:- "May God bless you and spare you your health" or another prayer is, "May God increase your store, and put a thought in your heart to give me more". When people assist their neighbour in any way they say "God spare you your health, and long lifetime". When people hear of any death they take off their hats and say, "May the Lord have mercy on him". Collected by Thomas Nulty from Francis Nulty Drumfomina, Billis P.O. Virginia, Co.
