  1. There are five holy wells dedicated to Saints in this locality.
    There is a well dedicated to St. Patrick at Dunancory.
    There are two more wells dedicated to Saint Patrick, one in Lurgan and the other in Quilca.
    There is a well dedicated to St. Bridget in Raffney.
    There is a well dedicated to St. Kieran in Carnaross.
    Pilgrimages are made to the wells. The local people within a radius of twenty miles round visit the wells on certain days, prayers are said at the wells and people believe the water in the wells will cure certain diseases.
