  1. Saints are connected with this district. There is a well dedicated to St. Patrick in Lurgan, another at Dunancory and another in Quilca. There is a well dedicated to St. Brigid in Raffney.
    St. Kieran's Well is in Carnaross. There are no places called after Saints.
    Many people are called after Saints.
    St. Patrick's Day is a public holiday and people wear shamrocks and others send shamrocks to their relatives or friends in America and the British Isles. Saint's days are kept as holidays and pilgrimages are made to the wells.
