    people have potato diggers. Then the children pick out the good ones and put them in a pit and then go back and gather the bad ones and bring them home otherwise they will rot. Then the good ones are left in the pits until the spring, then they are brought home and put into a shed.
    the potatoes we grow mostly are Kerrs-pink, Arran-Chiefs and Arran-Banners.
