    One Sunday in the afternoon I heard a Mother's cry

    (continued from previous page)
    O had there been upon the scene,
    some heroes stout and brave,
    they would have ventured life & limb
    His precious life to save
    But none was found upon the ground
    To venture for his sake
    So he sank beneath the waters
    Of that gloomy Quilea Lake.
    Interred in Raffony old church yard,
    Beneath that cold and silent clay.
    For evermore to slumber,
    Till the Final Judgement Day.
    St. Michael sounds the trumpet
    alas, he shall awake
    Since he met his death at Quilea Lake.
