    In different places through the country there are places where Mass was said and they are called Mass Rocks. In our district there are a few of these rocks except one on Kilcarn.
    At Gowna there is another Mass Rock where Mass was said in those bitter days. The Irish priests had to risk their lives to say Mass in those cruel days when there was a price left on their heads.
