    Local Marriage Customs.
    Marriages frequently take place in this district before Lent and Advent. The old people say that Friday or Saturday is avery unlucky day to get married on.
    Usually the parents of the bride give dowry to the groom.
    About forty or fifty years ago marriages used to take place in the church at 3 0-clock in the evening and when the marriage was over they used to go home to the brides house and there they would have a great
