  1. In the times of our forefathers there was much strong food used compared with what is used now. The people used to eat a lot of "Boxty bread". "Sowens", "Blood Puddings" and Beastins.
    Boxty bread is made from boiled potatoes and raw potatoes.
    Sowens is made from oaten meal and water. They way to make it is to put oaten meal in a crock, put water on it and leave it there for nine days.
