  1. Local Heroes.
    I have never heard of any heroes who won fame for any deed they did, but there was a man named Paddy Byrne of Callanagh. He was the strongest man in the Parish.
    He was called "Gulliver" because of his strength. He was known to lift a hundred weight in one hand and put it over his head. he was able to throw a large stone a long distance & the place it would fall it would have a hole in the ground.
    I am told that there was a swift runner in Carnagh named Patrick
