  1. A Hidden Treasure
    There is a treasure supposed to be hidden in Cloncovid under a lone bush in Mrs, Lees fort leading from Cloncovid. N.S to Granard. It is said that in days gone by there was a monastery close by and the monks hid a golden chalice and other valuable vessels under this tree. They were afraid of invadours or the Dane for fear they would take them.
