    The Roscomroe team wore a green and white cap also green and white jerseys and Coolderry wore green cap and green jerseys. The refereeing of that game was the same as a hurling game. The type of ball used was a hard one about half the size of an ordinary hurling ball but it was so hard that if it hit you it would break your shin.
    The goals were marked with three stakes and a man was at each of these. Each stake was about twenty two yards apart. These were at each end of the pitch. Cricket was often played in my district long ago.
    The kind of sticks used were bats about three feet long
