The field now belongs to a man named John Power, Terrerath. Part of an old wall is still to be seen. - There was once an old kiln in Ballysop on Mr. Doyle's land, and it was haunted. It was sad that there used to be greyhounds singing in the kiln and that they were heard by several people. There were also lights seen in this kiln.One night, a priest was going to a sick call and he saw a light in the kiln, and he heard the greyhounds singing. It was beautiful and they were saying "Stay and listen, stay and listen" but the priest did not stay. He went on and it is said that the greyhounds were trying to stop the priest so(continues on next page)
